Habitat for Humanity - Delaware County, PA

Group Information

While individuals are always welcome to join us in our mission, groups play an integral role in helping us address larger projects. In addition, many groups find added, and sometimes unexpected, benefits in participating with Habitat for Humanity-Delaware County -- from building camaraderie among the members of the group to learning new skills to recognizing how every group can make a difference in the local community.

Group size is limited by the varying need for onsite labor and other factors, but the maximum size is usually 10-12. We are currently scheduling groups for Saturdays (and the occasional Sunday) only, and groups must reserve space in advance by contacting our office. We are currently scheduling groups approximately two months in advance.

In addition to working on the construction site, groups can be involved in Habitat in a number of other ways. Groups have done and are doing all of the following:

   - Sponsor a fundraiser for Habitat
   - Provide a construction work crew for a day, a number of days, or for an entire project
   - Financially contribute to the construction of a Habitat house
   - Contribute professional skills or services which can help Habitat operate more effectively
